1. |
Do not use salt, halite, or any
salt/sodium-based compound on concrete. For ice: sand may be used for
friction to prevent slipping. |
|
2. |
Do not use any acid-based cleaners on
concrete. Concrete may be cleaned with a mild soap mixed with water. |
|
3. |
Concrete needs to be sealed once a year,
preferable in the Spring. The recommended sealer to use is Sonneborn
30 Sealer for High Gloss, and Sonneborn Sealer for Normal
Gloss. This may be obtained from either Tucker Supply in Cuyahoga Falls,
OH (330) 928-2155 or Lakewood Supply in Cleveland, OH (216) 251-5620. If
you would prefer, we will reseal concrete; cost is based upon the square
foot area. Please call the office at (330) 656-2220 if you would like us
to do the sealing.

4. |
Weather conditions may cause normal
cracking and/or spaulding of the concrete due to the contraction and
expansion based on temperature. While preventative measures are taken to
help minimize cracking and/or spaulding, it cannot be completely
prevented since this is a normal chemical reaction of concrete.

|
5. |
Any/all cracks must be sealed prior to the
first frost. Water will expand when frozen, causing concrete to shift.
Sealing the affected areas will help prevent this from occurring. |
|
6. |
Sealing minimizes color fading due to
weather and sun exposure. Slight color fading will occasionally occur
over a period of time. |
